I wanted to get back to the basics with this post. It’s been a while since we’ve featured a classically styled CB and it doesn’t get much better than this. Another gem of a video for you DIY types – just oozing with inspiration.  People underestimate the value of working with your hands – building something from nothing is one of the most satisfying things in the world.

Build on builders!

I was in Portland last weekend and had a chance to swing by Moto Corsa, a great Ducati shop in the area.  This place was incredible!  Beautiful showroom, friendly service and an absolute feast of new, used and display only Ducatis.  Again, I had that kid in a candy shop feeling – unfortunately this candy is a little out of my price range. Either way, it was a blast and I highly reccomend stopping by if nothing else to admire the engineering efforts of the good folks at Ducati.  Check out some picture that I snapped at the shop.  After seeing those bikes, we may have to rename HONAHA – HONAHATI.

This is an amazing short film on a promising young American cafe builder.  Check out his website for more information. I feel inspired after watching this – in fact, it makes me want to run out to the shop and start building a new bike – hopefully you will feel inspired as well. Enjoy!

I realize that HONAHA has been on a Yamaha terror lately – for some reason I keep stumbling on great Yams.  To all you Honda guys out there, I will dedicate my next post to you.  This beauty comes to you courtesy of one of my favorite bike builders – Mule Motorcycles.  These guys build the coolest street trackers out there.  I love their attention to detail and commitment to quality.  Check out the Mule Website for more great bikes, parts and contact information.

I happened to stumble across this site while I was looking for some new parts.  This site offers the rare chance to buy some original hardware for your vintage speed machine – as well as the new stuff.  It’s not the easiest site to navigate, but once you dig around a little bit you can find some pretty cool stuff.  Check it all out here!

Sorry for the prolonged vacation. I am back in action for the time being and hope to have a few new posts up soon. In the mean time, check out this site. What more can I say about my favorite builders at Wrench Monkees? I love everything they come out with.  Their bikes are always so clean, simple and elegant.   These are no frills works of art – the real deal.  I hope the people at Wrench Monkees build a HONAHA bike someday.  I am out of things to say other than – WOW.
